About

I’m an average American, with an average income, living in an average house, with an average education. I assume I have average thoughts and average goals. I’ve decided to improve myself and be better than average, after all that is the American dream. I’ve realized that a big hole in my education is a background in the classics and history. I went to the library and picked up a card for the first time since I was a child.  I got an i-pod, went to i-tunes and started listening to people who are a lot smarter than me. I try to stay up to date with current events and try to put them into context with historical events I read and hear about.

I was raised in a religious family and am working to raise my family with the same tradition. I was also raised in a family with a conservative political view. I still have a conservative view-point and am not ashamed of it. I do read and listen to many different ideological backgrounds. I have the opinion that if a person dismisses opinions that differs from their own without any real consideration will miss a lot of insights that can help shape a world view.

I have started this blog as a place to gather my thoughts on the different subjects that bounce around in my head. It’s for my own personal use, but I left it public because I have no problem if someone stumbles across my thoughts and wants to add their opinion. I don’t care if you agree or disagree with me feel free to comment, just keep things civil. You’ll have to forgive my grammar and syntax, I have fought with some dyslexia my entire life and writing has never been a strong suit. That is another reason for starting a blog, to improve my writing. If you want to leave me a message you can use the comments or email me  at myinnerecho@gmail.com.
